ROC&SOL Diner: A Flavorful Escape in Sacramento

Late night eats after Sac State graduation on a Friday night was perfect for my family. Everyone has happy with their dishes, prime rib sandwich with fries, waffle and dessert.

Completely loved the vibe! Surreal art and pop culture bleeding into classic Americana. Open late for those still transversing various dimensional planes with visuals that will keep you safe. The food has flavor, portions are fair. Gravy on the biscuits & gravy didn’t cover a lot of biscuit. So might have to ask for extra- we caught more of gristle/fat/tallow over your more creamy take on gravy. The pot roast Hit! I cleaned the bowl! It just pulled apart under the weight of my fork. The turkey club was saved by the bread. That’s the stand out ingredient on this item. For us; bacon was over cooked & crumbled, American cheese & turkey were overpowered by mayonnaise.. but the bread they use *chefs kiss

ROC&SOL was such a welcome surprise. The food selections are awesome and the portions are guaranteed to fill you up. The vibe is relaxed and chill, with a great mix of music playing... and not too loudly either. Our server, Alexis, was phenomenal and extremely helpful - giving us the lowdown on what's popular, how often the specials repeat, and perfect recommendations on dessert. We will definitely be back because there are several items I'm hankering to get.

I've been here twice now and have had a great experience both times. So far, I've tried their club sandwich and the fish and chips. The club sandwich was probably the best I've had, and I'm still thinking about it. The fish and chips was also delicious with yummy, homemade Old Bay tartar sauce. It came with a grilled lemon, which made the lemon even more juicy. I only wish the fish pieces were bigger. They came as 3 small spear-like pieces on a really big bed of French fries. Service was good, but they are pretty busy, so it is somewhat difficult to call over the waitress when you need something. This place is definitely a gem to Sac. I can't wait to go back to try their dinner menu. I highly recommend!

I really love this place! Every meal I had, was delicious. The atmosphere and price are amazing for the great quality of the food and drinks I was given. This will be one of my favorite diners I have ever experienced. I will of course be coming back for more! Oh and happy Pie Day!

Excellent food at a reasonable price. The double cheeseburger was amazing. Great fries. Excellent service. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. We'll be back!!

Absolutely incredible diner food at a good price. On our two day stop in Sacramento our breakfast at ROC&SOL really stood out as being simply fantastic. This place nailed my chicken fried steak and eggs-- I ordered it with the sausage gravy and was very impressed with how crispy and delicious it was. Also, the hashbrowns were probably the best I've had anywhere... idk how they made them so tasty (I would guess lots and lots of butter), but now whenever I have hashbrowns anywhere else I'll think about how ROC&SOL did them better. My family also loved their eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. If you're looking for really good diner style breakfast food in a clean, modern looking (if a bit crazily decorated) space then ROC&SOL is a great stop!

When I came in, I wasn’t expecting the best, but they did have good reviews. I had the ribeye, which was not bad and the customer service and the atmosphere is great. I think some items are better than others. But it’s basically American food. From hamburgers, steaks to waffles and pancakes. If ur Looking for a good spot for a good meal not that bad. I would have given them a five star, but the food was not top-tier but good enough. But obviously my opinions is based on the food that we got. Which was the ribeye and a chicken meal. Both were four star. But they have other items on the menu which I did not try so I will give them the opportunity in the future when I try different things. Lol
